Sofia University up 50 places in world rankings

Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski is ranked in 591-600 position in the QS World University Rankings 2022.

The oldest Bulgarian university has been on the list since 2004, and this is the highest position it has occupied to date, up 50 slots from the previous ranking, Sofia University has announced.

The world’s top universities are listed in QS World University Rankings – 2022. Out of the 1,673 higher schools of learning that have applied 1,300 have been listed. They are judged according to 6 criteria: faculty student ratio, citations per faculty, academic reputation, employer reputation, international students ratio, international faculty ratio.

The top 5 universities are: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Oxford, Stanford University, the University of Cambridge, UK, Harvard University.
