Deals on the property market in this country have shown a robust increase, data from the first quarter of 2021 show. The increase for the entire country is by 17%. For Varna the growth rate stands at 1%, BNR’s Radio Varna reports.

According to Dobromir Ganev, chairman of the Real Estate National Association, one of the reasons for this tendency is the large number of Bulgarians returning to the country from abroad.

“Around 37,000 of our compatriots have returned from abroad and have registered at a permanent address in Bulgaria. They are returning with the idea of buying a home, of living and working here. The Bulgarians returning from Turkey account for 25%,” Dobromir Ganev says. Another reason is the low interest rate on house purchase loans.
