Tourism business wants travel vouchers to speed up immunization

Every Bulgarian vaccinated against coronavirus should receive a voucher of 25 euros for a vacation or a visit to a restaurant in the country, the National Board of Tourism has offered. The industry wants the state to give a boost to the vaccination campaign. This is what Polina Karastoyanova, executive director of the board has told the "Hristo Botev" program of the Bulgarian National Radio.

Immunization is the most important factor for 2021, both for the summer tourist season and for the winter. This factor will shape the attitudes and choices of foreign tourists to Bulgaria. There are enough vaccines in the country but the vaccination rate is the lowest in the EU. This means that there has been a failure in the communication campaign so far, Karastoyanova points out.
