Voters whose identity documents have expired after March 13, 2020, will be able to exercise their right to vote with them in the July 11 early parliamentary elections, Bulgaria's Central Election Commission decided. As in the previous parliamentary elections on April 4, the motive for the commission's decision was the law on emergency measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

Voters with expired identity documents will again not be required to submit certificates from the interior ministry to the commissions at the polling stations, the ruling said.
