"The Prosecutor's Office is inactive when it comes to checking the property status of 38 politicians and magistrates with real estates abroad that have not been declared in Bulgaria," Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov has told BNR.
According to the minister, the prosecution had data on magistrates from the Supreme Judicial Council. “They also have data about a high-ranking prosecutor and his wife. A prosecutor would not ask for such data to be published, because questions would arise about him, as well," Boyko Rashkov commented.
He added that it was possible that these politicians or magistrates did not declare their properties because they acquired them through corruption. The Minister also said that the operational service must do what was necessary to hear former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, too. "There are shameful facts about some people in power who decided they could do whatever they want," Rashkov said.
