Yellow weather warning issued for thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail in 14 regions

Today the weather will be predominantly sunny over Western Bulgaria, with thunder and rain in Central and Eastern Bulgaria mostly at midday and in the afternoon.

Heavy rain with thunder and hail is expected in 14 regions of the country, where a yellow weather warning has been issued for hazardous weather. In Kotel and Gorna Oryahovitsa the partial state of emergency remains in place.

Along the Black Sea coastline and in the mountains there will be showers with thunder. There will be a moderate to strong northwesterly wind along the seashore which will subside during the day. 

Maximum temperatures 27°-29° C., in the Southwesternmost parts – 37° C., at 1,200 metres above sea level – around 24° C., at 2,000 metres – around 17° C. Temperature of the sea water 23°-25° C., sea state 1-2.
