421 voting machines have been already sent abroad for the forthcoming early general elections on July 11, Tsvetozar Tomov, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission said for bTV. "Thеre will be tension until the very last moment. We are introducing a new technology, which would inevitably create tension. The number of people who cast their ballots abroad has doubled at the latest elections", said Tsvetozar Tomov.

The hypothesis that the low voter turnout at the mayoral elections in Blagoevgrad was due to machine voting is unconfirmed, noted Tsvetozar Tomov. He clarified that when helping voters, members of sectional election commissions can stand two meters away, without being able to see the screen of the voting machine and without asking questions related to the voting.
