Constitutional Court has approved machine voting

Machine voting is not unconstitutional, the Constitutional Court said. Five of the 12 judges have signed the decision with a dissenting opinion. According to the decision, the ballot for machine voting is designed to look like the paper one. "By its nature, the machine voting ballot is nothing but the transfer and visualization of the text from the paper ballot on electronic media," the decision reads. The magistrates say machine voting does not violate the constitutional rights of the voters and there is no discrimination. The GERB party's objections to the rules for forming the Central Election Commission have also been rejected.
