Bulgaria ready to start EU accession talks with Albania immediately

Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev welcomed the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which began on July 1, 2021. Minister Stoev voiced hopes that these priorities would enable the member states to seek the right solutions for a better and more prosperous Europe in the next 6 months.

Bulgaria is ready to start the negotiation process with Albania immediately, said Svetlan Stoev with regard to the European Union's enlargement policy. Bulgaria is open to dialogue with North Macedonia, which must be constructive, well-intentioned and based on trust, said this country’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Stoev.
