Some members of sectional election commissions in the United States waited for hours to hand over their tally sheets. People were dissatisfied because they had to go to work. They said that changes in the model of work of the Central Election Commission were needed, Daniel Dzhenev from the Bulgarian Election Volunteers Network said for the BNR

No problems occurred during election day until the moment tally sheets had to be handed over. Later, however, some people spent more than 24 hours in the polling stations, which contradicts any rules, said Daniel Dzhenev. According to preliminary datamore than 8,000 Bulgarians in the USA voted at the July 11 snap Parliamentary election.
