The black box of the Bulgarian MiG-29 fighter jet that crashed in the Black Sea on June 9 this year is still in Bulgaria. This has been confirmed by the Deputy Chief of Defense, Lieutenant General Tsanko Stoykov. He said the deadlines set by the Ministry of Defense for reading of the box could be called a forecast because difficulties in sending the box to Russia were not taken into account. Earlier this month, the Defense Ministry said that Russia had certain requirements before receiving the black box.

In an interview with a Sofia- based newspaper, the widow of the dead pilot Lieutenant Colonel Valentin Terziev, said that the deportation was delayed because "the whole case was politically interlinked".
