At 346 new cases, number of Covid-19 infections continues upward trend

346 new Covid-19 cases have been registered in Bulgarian in the past 24 hours out of 22,989 tests performed, a positivity rate of 1.5%, Single Coronavirus Information data show.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia – 96, in Burgas– 39 and in Varna and Plovdiv –  38. No new cases have been reported in Razgrad and Vidin.

797 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 75 of them in intensive care. Three people have died, 100 have recovered. The number of active cases is 8,125, compared to 7,882 the previous day.

10,958 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day, bringing the total number of vaccinations in the country up to over 2 million. More than 998,000 is the number of people who are now fully vaccinated.
