The ITN candidate for prime minister, Plamen Nikolov, has announced the names of the nominees for ministers in the draft cabinet. Petar Iliev, who was expected to be nominee for prime minister of Slavi Trifonov's party, was nominated for minister of interior.
Among the other candidates are: Silvi Kirilov for Minister of Health, as he has headed several of the largest hospitals in Bulgaria; diplomat Radi Naidenov for Minister of Foreign Affairs as he was caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs back in 2017 in the cabinet of Ognyan Gerdjikov Affairs. Plamen Danailov, with experience in senior management positions in large international companies has been nominated for Minister of Finance; Alexander Nikolov, who is currently Deputy Minister of Energy has been nominated for Minister of Energy. Teodora Genchovska, who has passed through all levels in the Ministry of Defense to head the "NATO and EU" department has been nominated for Minister of Defense.
