"There is Such a People” party’s nominee for Prime Minister, Plamen Nikolov, has withdrawn his candidacy. Nikolov has pointed out personal reasons as a motive.

Earlier, the party's leader Slavi Trifonov issued a statement announcing that ITN would not propose their draft cabinet for voting in plenary hall. "Democratic Bulgaria" and "Stand up BG! We are Coming!" said that they would not support the draft cabinet and Trifonov accused the parties of betrayal.

President Rumen Radev will now have to continue the procedure and give a mandate for government formation to the second political force in parliament.
