The new hunting season in Bulgaria has been officially opened. Hunters are allowed to hunt quail, turtle dove, common wood pigeon, Eurasian woodcock and common snipe.
Group and individual hunting of small game is allowed only on Saturday, Sunday and the official holidays and hunting of migratory game- one hour before sunrise and one hour after sunset. Due to the decline of the turtle dove population, hunting trips for this species have been limited to once a week.
All hunters are urged to be extremely careful and observe the safety rules.
