The Bulgarian Socialist Party will return the mandate to form a government on Tuesday (September 7). This was decided by the National Council of Socialists after a three-hour session. It has been decided that the party will not nominate a prime minister.
The BSP received the third cabinet-forming mandate from President Rumen Radev at the end of last week. At the time, Socialist leader Kornelia Ninova said they would make every effort to form a regular cabinet with a majority in parliament.
Earlier today, Parliament Speaker Iva Miteva scheduled an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on September 7th. The update of the budgets of the Health Insurance Fund and the State Social Insurance will be voted on at the second reading.
