Bulgaria should revise its concession contracts, the Chairman of the National Assembly Budget Committee Lubomir Karimanski from “There is Such a People” party said for the BNR. According to MP Karimanski, in the past year the Canadian company Dundee Precious Metals has extracted and exported raw material containing 12,200 kilograms of gold to the tune of more than EUR 600 million and paid 1% of this amount as a concession fee.

Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Finance Asen Vasilev already said that concession fees could change, because in his words, “Bulgaria collects only around EUR 50 million from concessions on an annual basis, which is not normal”.
