Prof. Kamen Plochev, head of the Infectious Diseases Clinic at the Military Medical Academy, predicts a new peak of the Covid wave after the beginning of the school year.

“Last year we had an average morbidity and in the beginning of October the big overcrowding of the hospitals started”, he explained to bTV.
According to the specialist, no flu is expected this autumn as we protect ourselves through masks and keeping our distance.
Prof. Kamen Plochev also said that so far no cases of the new "Mu" version of the coronavirus have been found in Bulgaria, which is relatively severe and the current vaccines do not work for it.
