Government assumes new internal debt

Debt securities worth 150 million euro are to be offered on the domestic market, the Bulgarian National bank has announced.

The securities have a maturity of 10.5 years. This will be the first emission during the term of office of the new caretaker Minister of Finance Valeri Belchev. So far, Bulgaria has issued a new 500-million-euro internal debt for 2021, the restriction being 2.2 billion euro.

At the beginning of August, and at the end of the term of office of the previous Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, a new 100-million-euro debt was assumed in 5-year bonds. Their yield was negative.
