The nationalists from VMRO party have challenged before the Supreme Administrative Court the candidacy of Mariya Kasimova-Moase for vice-president, who is a runner-up to the independent presidential candidate Lozan Panov (current chairman of the Supreme Court of Cassation). According to Krassimir Karakachanov's party, Kasimova-Moase does not meet the constitutional conditions for registration as a candidate for vice president, as she has not lived in Bulgaria for the past 5 years.

VMRO members add that in her interviews with national media Kasimova-Moase has herself stated that she has not lived in Bulgaria since 2015, BNR reported.
