Sixteenth World Meeting of Bulgarian Media begins

The Sixteenth World Meeting of the Bulgarian Media mottoed “Media and the Truth” has begun. The forum is organized by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA). Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev and this country’s caretaker Minister of Education and Science Nikolay Denkov attended the official opening of the forum. 

Bulgaria’s former Premier Simeon Saxe-Coburg- Gotha unveiled the Sixteenth World Meeting of the Bulgarian Media. The First World Meeting of Bulgarian Media was held on May 23-25, 2005. The Sixteenth World Meeting of the Bulgarian Media opened at the Rila Monastery (Southwestern Bulgaria) and will continue in the town of Kyustendil.

The traditional award for contribution to the dissemination of Bulgarian culture by a Bulgarian-language media outlet abroad will be presented on October 18.

Representatives of 27 Bulgarian media from 17 countries are participating at the forum.
