The Bulgarian Association of Restaurants and the Restaurant Alliance have declared a boycott of the anti-coronavirus measures announced by Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov. They are not happy with the mandating of the green certificate for indoor activities.

Covid-19 Green Certificate becomes mandatory for all indoor activities as of October 21

“It is without precedent, with 20% of the population vaccinated, to introduce “green certificates”. This will lead to mass bankruptcies,” Richard Alibegov, chair of the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants commented for NOVA TV.

“We are introducing rules, as of 21 October, and citizens have less than 48 hours to get ready for them. For this reason, Bulgarians could file lawsuits against Bulgaria at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg,”, Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova, constitutional law expert and lecturer stated, on her part, for ON AIR TV.
