91% of the new Covid-19 hospitalizations in Bulgaria are among unvaccinated

5,178 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 49,300 tests performed, data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal show. 10.5% of the tests have returned positive results. 87.4% of the new Covid-19 cases are among unvaccinated. The highest number of cases was reported in Sofia-1,457, followed by Plovdiv-475 and Varna-428.

There are 7,553 patients in hospital, 656 of them in intensive care units. 91% of the new Covid-19 hospitalizations are among unvaccinated.

124 people have died and 2,321 have been reported cured in the past day. 93.5% of the Covid-19 deaths are among unvaccinated. There are 93,276 active cases of Covid-19 at present.

23,395 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Thursday, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 2,824,345. 1,491,628 people in the country are now fully vaccinated.
