The baseline reproduction number that shows the spread of the infection during the pandemic has remained below 1.3 for a second day. On the morning of November 1 it is 1.13. This means that while the spread of the infection continues, it is happening at a pace that the health care system can cope with, although great efforts would be needed. The good news should not calm us down as the health system is currently overloaded and the figures show that the situation will continue to be critical this week.
