Supreme Administrative Court decides whether machine voting receipts will be counted

Photo: BGNES

Today, November 4, it becomes clear whether all the receipts from the machine voting will be counted in the upcoming elections. After hearing the arguments of the representatives of three of the coalitions registered for participation in the vote that the decision of the CEC to count the receipts was illegal, the SAC will rule today on the case.

The CEC sent a written statement asking the court to dismiss the appeals of the three formations.

We recall that before the elections for the 46th National Assembly on July 11, the SAC had already ruled on a similar case. Then the magistrates said that according to the Electoral Code, the only way to report the results of the vote was by printing the protocol from the system and that there was no requirement to check and count the control receipts.
