Bulgaria's Central Election Commission (CEC) has signalled to the State Agency for National Security that an additional 228 voting machines have been delivered to the country. They are not scheduled for the November 14 election for president and parliament. The CEC has not assigned the importer Ciela Norma the purchase and delivery of these machines, commission spokesman Tsvetozar Tomov told BGNES.

Tomov guarantees that electoral manipulations are impossible, because each machine has its own serial number and is designed for a specific polling station. "There is no risk to the election process, but this unpleasant situation creates unnecessary ension," Tomov commented, urging Ciela Norma to explain the case.
