New daily coronavirus infections drop to 3,207, death rate continues high

3,207 is the number of Covid-19 cases registered in the country in the past 24 hours, out of 32,813 tests performed, 646 fewer than on the previous day. 85% of the new daily infections are among the unvaccinated. The coronavirus positivity rate is 9.8%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

113,229 is the number of active coronavirus cases in the country. 8,329 patients are being treated in hospital, 755 of them in intensive care. 90% of the 780 new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.

196 is the number of Covid deaths in the past 24 hours, 97% of them among the unvaccinated. For the second day running the number of daily recoveries – 3,953 – is higher than the number of new infections.

22,393 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day. 1,602,186 is the number of people now fully vaccinated in the country, 36,598 have had a vaccine booster dose.
