Record high voter turnout among Bulgarians in US

A record number of Bulgarian citizens in the United States exercised their right to vote in the Bulgarian parliamentary and presidential elections on November 14 - over 11,300 people. This breaks the record of 10,500 Bulgarians who voted in the United States in the parliamentary elections in April. 8,904 Bulgarians cast their votes in July.

"We Continue the Change" received the biggest number of votes – 5,584, which is nearly half of all votes. The votes for "Democratic Bulgaria" were 1,471. GERB-SDS has 1,365 votes, according to the Central Election Commission.

The leader in the presidential race is Rumen Radev with 6,954 votes. 1,955 Bulgarians in the United States voted for Anastas Gerdzhikov.
