Bulgaria’s caretaker Justice Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev and European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kovesi discussed, at an online meeting, ways to step up cooperation between the Bulgarian authorities and the European Public Prosecutor's Office, EPPO.
Emphasis was laid on broadening the range of institutions which can approach the European Public Prosecutor's Office, BNR’s Silvia Velikova reports. In Laura Kovesi’s words, direct reports by the police, by the border police and by the National Customs Agency to the EPPO will improve the quality of the judicial proceedings.
