Bulgarian and French presidents talk in Strasbourg

Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has talked in Strasbourg with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. They discussed bilateral relations, Bulgaria's accession to Schengen and the European perspective for North Macedonia.

Radev pointed out that Bulgaria had met the technical criteria for Schengen membership in 2011 and Macron agreed.
The Bulgarian head of state added that he expected concrete and irreversible results from the dialogue with North Macedonia. They must guarantee European values ​​for the observance of human rights and the cessation of hate speech, as well as for the protection of the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage in North Macedonia.
