A Moldovan citizen was arrested this night while trying to break an ATM in the building of a large hardware store on Sofia's Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd. His two accomplices and compatriots resisted the police and managed to escape. The gang stole mobile phones, tablets and other small equipment from the hypermarket.

According to Sofia police sources, the group is mainly involved in ATM thefts and has been monitored in recent months. A few days ago, the police detained another criminal group again in Sofia, specializing in thefts from the offices of mobile operators.
