Isabella Shinikova qualifies for doubles semifinals at Korea Open in Seoul

Bulgaria’s second-best female tennis player Isabella Shinikova qualified for the doubles semifinals at the WAT 125 K tournament in Seoul, Korea. Isabella Shinikova and Su Jeong Jang (China) defeated 7:5; 6:0 Riya Bhatia (India) and Anastasia Kulikova (Finland) in a match that lasted for 52 minutes. 

Earlier, Isabella Shinikova dropped out of the women's singles. She lost 6:3; 6:0 to the No. 2 seed Lin Zhu (China). 

The No. 7 seed Bulgarian had a good start and took a 2:0 lead in the first set, but won only 3 games in the whole match. Shinikova earned 29 points for the world tennis ranking. Currently, she is ranked 226th.
