One in three Bulgarians spends more than EUR 500 over the Christmas and New Year holiday season

One in three Bulgarians spends at least EUR 500 over the Christmas and New Year holiday season, a survey of a financial portal indicate. Almost 20% of the respondents managed to put aside between EUR 50 and 125 for the holidays.

Despite the crisis, Bulgarians untie the purse strings to prepare the festive table and buy presents for their relatives. Most money is spend on presents, in particular on children’s gifts.
