The snow cover at Bulgaria’s winter resort of Pamporovo has reached 130 cm. The resort is located in the southern Rhodope Mountains at an altitude of 1,650 m, at the foot of Snezhanka peak.

The winter resort is situated 85 kilometers south of the city of Plovdiv, 15 kilometers north of the town of Smolyan and 10 kilometers south of the town of Chepelare. Pamporovo has 55 kilometers of ski runs.

There are ski slopes for advanced and for amateur skiers. Most of them start from Snezhanka peak. They are located at an altitude of 1,444 to 1,930 meters above sea level. The winters in Pamporovo tend to be mild. The average annual temperature is around 5.5°С, which makes Pamporovo extremely attractive for outdoor winter sports. Pamporovo is popular for its big number of sunny days-more than 100.

Currently, tourists can use 14 ski slopes and 11 lifts. The conditions for skiing and snowboarding are excellent, representatives of the resort inform.
