Employers’ organizations demand urgent convening of Consultative Council on National Security

Employers’ organizations in Bulgaria demand an urgent convening of the Consultative Council on National Security over the crisis in the energy sphere. They also want to meet with Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov.

“The anti-crisis measures proposed by Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy do not work as the situation has changed. The proposal for a ceiling to compensate for energy costs will have devastating consequences for our economy”, the employers’ organizations note in their statement.

Meanwhile, the International Federation of Industrial Energy Consumers has called on the EU leaders and national governments to take swift action to tackle the disastrous prices.
