The leader of GERB party Boyko Borissov was summoned for interrogation at the General Directorate National Police following an alert by Boec civil movement linked with the photos of Euro banknotes and gold bars allegedly taken in the bedroom of the former premier in Boyana Residence. “I have never owned gold bars or bought such”, Boyko Borissov told journalists and refused to comment on the substance.
“This person must say who “Mata Hari” is since he claimed that she entered his bedroom, placed the gold bars and the bundles of Euro notes in his drawer, took photos and left”, Minister Boyko Rashkov said at the National Assembly. Bulgaria’s Police will try to complete the check, which was suspended by the Prosecutor’s Office, Boyko Rashkov further said.
Borissov’s former PR Sevdalina Arnaudova was also summoned for questioning today.
