Green certificate to be required for entering Bulgarian Parliament

The Parliamentary Legal Committee has voted on adopting a green certificate requirement for entering the National Assembly. If the decision is approved in plenary, access to the building will be through a document for vaccination against Covid-19, for illness or for a negative test. It is envisaged that MPs should pay for their own antigen tests, but the costs for their staff and administration will be borne by the parliamentary budget.

Meanwhile, ITN and Vazrazhdane parties demanded the annulment of the decision to introduce a green certificate of the health committee from yesterday, as not all MPs were informed about the extraordinary session. The committee chairman Anton Tonev replied that the decisions remain valid.
