Bulgaria’s daily Covid-19 cases hit record high

A record high number of 9,996 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 44,772 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 22% of the tests have returned positive result. 79% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. Bulgaria’s daily cases of Covid-19 hit record high.

There are 160,761 active cases of Covid-19.

166 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 148 Covid-19 deaths were among the unvaccinated. 829 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. More than 82% of the hospitalizations were among the non-vaccinated. 5,223 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, as 541 of them are in intensive care units.

551 people have been reported cured in the past day.

13,723 vaccines were administered on Monday. There are 1,964,692 people with completed immunization. 512,621 have had a booster shot.
