Second group of polar explorers reaches Bulgarian Antarctic Base on Livingston Island

The second group consisting of eleven polar explorers, part of the 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition, has arrived at the Bulgarian Antarctic Base St. Kliment Ohridski on Livingston Island, polar researcher Emil Ivanov announced on Facebook.

“After two exciting days of plane and ship transfers, we have successfully reached the final destination”, Emil Ivanov wrote. The eleven polar researchers left Bulgaria on January 9. They were placed under a mandatory ten-day quarantine at Punta Arenas Port in Chile. Later, they continued their trip to Livingston Island. The second group of polar explorers will work on 7 scientific projects. Spanish polar explorers will also take part in one of the projects.
