“The Recovery and Resilience Plan has been submitted to the European Commission and it is considering it. It has undergone significant changes in sectoral policies,” Prime Minister Kiril Petkov stated during question time in parliament.
“We, as a new government, cannot accept the heavy dependence on Russian gas in energy and we had to amend that part of the plan so that we can have a more independent energy industry, greener,” Kiril Petkov added.
GERB party MP Tomislav Donchev asked why the edited plan had not been made available and presented for discussion in Bulgaria.
Kiril Petkov promised that the plan would be put to public discussion but that it would be better to wait another 2-3 weeks.
