Bulgaria registers 8,116 new daily cases of Covid-19

During the last 24 hours, 8,116 cases of coronavirus have been identified in Bulgaria from 40,735 tests performed, according to data from the National Coronavirus Information Portal. 20% of the tests gave a positive result. 75.5% of newly infected persons have not been vaccinated. 

The highest number of new cases is in Sofia - 1713, in Varna - 793, and in Plovdiv - 790. 

There are currently 6,156 patients in hospital as 586 of them in intensive care units. 85% of newly admitted 886 patients have not been vaccinated. 

100 people died in the past day as 90% of them were not immunized, while 6,788 were reported recovered.

Yesterday, 9,398 doses of coronavirus vaccines were administered in Bulgaria, as now 2,010,523 Bulgarians have completed immunization. 630,869 people have also received a booster dose.
