NSI: The annual inflation rate in Bulgaria soars to 9.1% in January

The annual inflation rate in Bulgaria increases to 9.1% in January, data of the National Statistical Institute indicate.

 In January 2022, the price of peppers increased with 22% as compared to the same period in 2021. The price of cucumbers went up by 16%. The price of tomatoes increased with 13% year on year. The price of cabbage increased with 9% and the price of flour went up by 4%. The price of supplied gas to household consumers increased with 24% year on year. Dental costs increased with 1.2% as compared to December 2021.
