Bulgarian and Spanish Air Force implement joint tasks on enhanced protection of Bulgaria's airspace

The implementation of joint tasks on enhanced protection of Bulgaria’s airspace (Air Policing) by the Bulgarian Air Force and the Spanish Air Force began with an official ceremony today. 

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bulgaria Alejandro Polanco Mata attended the event. The aviation equipment, used for joint Air Policing tasks, was presented.

The joint mission aims to guarantee the security of the Allied countries along NATO’s eastern flank and will be implemented in correspondence with the plans and procedures of NATO’s integrated air and missile system.
