Bulgaria reports 44 Covid-related deaths in past day

1,235 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 10,207 tests performed, data of coronavirus.bg indicate. 77% of the newly-registered infections were among the unvaccinated. 12% of the tests have returned positive result. One week ago, on February 14, 1,539 new cases were confirmed out of 10,061 tests. 15.3% of the tests returned positive result.

The number of active cases decreased by 2,525 to 244,500. 160 people have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 87.5% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated. 5,402 patients are being treated in hospital, as 577 of them are in intensive care units.

44 people with established coronavirus infection have died and 3,716 have been reported cured in the past 24 hours.

838 vaccines were administered on Sunday.
