Restaurateurs, tour operators in Bulgaria call for state assistance for survival

In an open letter to Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, the Association of Restaurants and the Union of Restaurants in Bulgaria have demanded a meeting with the head of state due to many problems in the restaurant and entertainment industry over the past 2 years. 

The industry representatives note that they have lost up to 80% of their turnover since the introduction of "green certificates". More than 35% of employees have left the sector, so they are asking the president for help in communicating with the government.

In a letter to the media, the Future for Tourism union has complained that the National Revenue Agency has retroactively changed the terms of state aid already provided to tour operators. The state now demands the already transferred funds together with the accumulated interest.
