4,845 new Covid-19 cases have been registered in Bulgaria for a day. According to the Single Coronavirus Information Portal, 15.8% of the 30,634 tests returned positive result. The number of people with active COVID-19 disease at the moment is just under 240,000. There are a total of 5,145 hospitalized patients, as 549 of them are in intensive care. The number of newly-hospitalized patients is 797 as 86.07% of them are not vaccinated. 143 people died in the past day, as 90.91% of them were not vaccinated. The number of recoveries reached 10,197.
Most of the new cases are in Sofia - 992, followed by Varna - 599, Plovdiv - 441 and Stara Zagora - 290.
The number of administered vaccines in the past day reached 3,870. There are already 2,038,507 people in Bulgaria with a completed vaccination cycle, as 674,115 have three administered doses.
