Bulgaria reports 4,667 new Covid-19 cases, positivity rate rises to almost 20 %

4,667 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 cases out of 23,406 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 19.9%, Single Coronavirus Portal data show.

4,887 patients are being treated in hospital, 544 of them in intensive care. 490 is the number of new hospital admissions in the past day, 85.51% of them are among the unvaccinated.

60 have died in the past 24 hours, 91.67 % are not vaccinated. 8,545 are reported as recovered.

The highest number of infections has been reported in Sofia 943,Varna – 717,Burgas – 609 and Plovdiv – 393. 

4,417 doses of vaccine have been administered in the past day. 2,039,864 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country, 676,925 have taken a booster dose.
