Ukrainians, Russians and Bulgarians protest together against Russia's aggression

Dozens of Ukrainian and Russian nationals protested in front of the Russian Consulate General in the port city of Varna. Demonstrators held up banners, one of which read "War is a disgrace! Putin - out of Ukraine". They sang the Ukrainian anthem and waved Ukrainian flags. 

"I came here because I am ashamed to be a citizen of the Russian Federation. I support Ukraine and its independence, I wish our Ukrainian brothers to endure in this war," Russian Mikhail Vassilev told BNR. And Ukrainian Oleksandr Savchenko said, "I condemn Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. The reason for the war is Putin, only Putin, there are no other reasons."

Protesting citizens also gathered in front of the Russian embassy in Sofia, demanding an end to Russia's military aggression in Ukraine. A dense police cordon blocked the protesters' path to the entrance to the Russian Federation's diplomatic mission.
