This is the horror of war through the eyes of Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Maishev. He sent us photos of a kindergarten in the town of Chernihiv, Northern Ukraine, which was hit by a missile.
Just a few days ago, the children’s laughter could be heard there. “My mother used to work here for 34 years. I also attended this kindergarden. It hurts a lot!”- Oleksandr wrote in a letter to Radio Bulgaria’s Russian language section.
Another friend of Radio Bulgaria, Marina from the town of Chernihiv, said: “We are staying in the basements and the men are defending the city. We are holding on. We believe in our soldiers.”
