20-year-old Bulgarian biathlete Blagoy Todev, from Bulgaria's Bansko, has achieved a great success for Bulgaria in biathlon. At the Youth World Championships in Salt Lake City, USA, Blagoy took the silver medal in the 12.5 km pursuit event.

Todev, who last month became European champion in the 15 km individual race, made a mistake his time in the United States in the four shots and finished 14 seconds after the winner Martin Nevland of Norway.
The day before, Todev was 0.9 seconds behind the bronze medalist in the sprint.
